- Wilson Yap is the Director and Head of Risk Banking Solutions, Asia, at SAS, where he works with financial institutions across the Asia Pacific on risk, finance, and treasury transformation. With more than two decades of experience in the banking and financial technology sectors, he advises banks on strengthening decision-making across asset and liability management, liquidity risk, interest rate risk in the banking book, funds transfer pricing, and broader integrated balance sheet management. Before joining SAS in 2022 through the acquisition of Kamakura Corporation, Wilson served as Senior Vice President and Head of Professional Services for Asia Pacific at Kamakura, where he led major implementation, advisory, and transformation programs for financial institutions across the region. Earlier in his career, he held leadership and consulting roles at Standard Chartered Bank Singapore and Fiserv. Wilson is known for combining deep domain expertise with practical delivery experience, helping banks translate regulatory and strategic challenges into actionable business outcomes. He holds a Master of Applied Finance from the University of Adelaide, a Bachelor of Arts with Merit in Economics and Statistics from the National University of Singapore, and the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation.
